Memorial Blankets

Blankets, given with love in Jesus’ name, will touch lives so they are never the same!

Our congregation is actively involved with the Church World Service Blanket Program. For many years, our church has been helping to keep our neighbors warm by providing blankets to families here in the United States and around the world.

What difference can a blanket make?

A blanket can provide warmth to a victim of a flood or fire or serve as bedding to a guest in a homeless shelter or be a gift of welcome to a newly arrived refugee or migrant worker.

During May, the Missions Team will offer the congregation the opportunity to purchase Memorial Blankets. Your $7 donation will buy one blanket and will serve as a memorial to loved ones, or you can honor our veterans/active duty personnel.  We hope to fill our blanket displayed in the sanctuary with lots of stars – one for each blanket donated throughout the month.

Although the blankets are a project of Church World Service (CWS), it is also part of our fall Ingathering celebration. The CWS blanket you purchase may be found in homeless shelters, poverty-prone communities or disaster recovery situations in our country and abroad.

Envelopes are available for you to use.   Let’s do our part to “Blanket the World with Love”!
